SocialAmp SMS Terms

Last updated: June 9, 2026

1. Overview

SocialAmp (operated by SocialAmp LLC) sends text messages (SMS) to members who have actively opted in by adding their phone number to their account and verifying it with a one-time code. This page describes the SMS program in plain English.

2. What you'll receive

If you opt in to SMS notifications, SocialAmp may send you text messages about:

  • New direct messages from other SocialAmp members
  • New messages in your SocialAmp group conversations
  • LinkedIn posts shared by your peers for engagement
  • Mentions of you in group conversations
  • Moderation notices and account safety alerts
  • Account-related system notifications (billing, security)

You control exactly which event types route to SMS in your SocialAmp Settings under "Notification channels." You can turn any category off without losing your SMS channel verification.

3. How you opt in

You opt in by signing into SocialAmp, visiting Settings → Notification channels → Add channel, selecting SMS, entering your mobile phone number, and confirming you agree to receive SMS notifications. We then text a six-digit verification code to that number. Once you enter the code, the channel is verified and active.

Adding a phone number on your profile alone does NOT opt you in. You must explicitly add SMS as a notification channel.

4. Frequency

Message frequency depends on how active your group is and which delivery mode you choose:

  • Live mode (real-time): roughly 2 to 20 messages per day in an active group.
  • Digest mode: one or two summary messages per day that bundle everything since the last digest.

You can switch between live and digest mode anytime in your Settings, and you can turn off any individual event category without losing your channel verification.

5. Message and data rates

Msg & data rates may apply. SocialAmp does not charge you for SMS. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply to messages you receive and any reply you send. Check with your carrier if you have a question about your plan.

6. How to opt out (STOP)

You can opt out at any time by:

  • Replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any SocialAmp SMS
  • Removing the SMS channel from your SocialAmp Settings
  • Emailing support@socialamp.io with the request

After you opt out, SocialAmp will send one confirmation text acknowledging the opt-out. No further messages will be sent to that number unless you re-add it as a channel and re-verify.

7. How to get help (HELP)

Reply HELP to any SocialAmp SMS to receive a short message with our support email and a link back to your SocialAmp account. You can also email support@socialamp.io any time.

8. Carrier disclaimer

SocialAmp is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Service availability is not guaranteed on all networks.

9. Privacy

SocialAmp does not sell, rent, share, or trade phone numbers or SMS metadata with third parties for marketing purposes. We use Twilio Inc. as our SMS carrier — your number is shared with Twilio strictly to deliver the messages you've opted in to. See our full Privacy Policy for more.
